Stay With Us
Ronald McDonald House Michiana offers a variety of services to families with a child receiving treatment at Beacon Children’s Hospital, Memorial Hospital and Memorial Epworth Center. We also provide a playroom for the healthy siblings to enjoy.
Families who use our services must first receive a referral from Beacon Children’s Hospital before registering to stay with us. Ask your nurse or social worker for a referral to start the process.

Home is where your family is.
Any Parent or Guardian of a hospitalized patient 21 or younger.
Day Services are available from 9:00am-9:00pm.
Overnight Guests have 24-hour key card access.
Meals, showers, laundry, snacks, overnight accommodations, and a quiet place you can call home for as long as your child is hospitalized.
You will need to bring with you:
- A referral form from the hospital
- Ask your nurse to send this to us. After it is submitted, you will receive an email with a link for registration.
- A driver’s license or form of photo identification
- Everyone over 18 years old will receive a sex offender background check before being admitted to Ronald McDonald House Michiana.
All Services are provided at NO COST to families.

Day Services
Many families register for Day Services which are available from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., 365 days/year.
Day services may include visiting the House for meals, taking a shower, doing a load of laundry, or escaping the stress of the hospital for a few minutes by sitting down in a quiet and welcoming space. We also provide a children’s playroom featuring a full-wall photo-mural that lets you feel like you are playing outside in a big, open field!
Overnight Accommodations
Families who receive a referral from the hospital can register for a guest room at Ronald McDonald House Michiana. Our House has 20 overnight bedroom suites.
Each suite has 2 queen size beds and a private bathroom. As with all of our services, there is never a charge for a family to utilize Ronald McDonald House Michiana–and a family may stay with us as long as their child is receiving treatment at Beacon Children’s Hospital. For many families, a stay at Ronald McDonald House Michiana may be as short as a few days, while for others, a stay may last weeks or even months.
Guest Handbook
Our mission is to provide a “home away from home” for families like yours during this difficult time. The guest handbook provides house rules, guidelines and some helpful hints for staying at our House that we hope will make your stay easier.
The Ronald McDonald House is a community volunteer effort that requires the cooperation of each guest in residence.
